Bright Meds light bg logo

Brightmeds

Brightmeds is a telehealth and wellness company that delivers weight loss medication to patients’ homes, eliminating the complex process of going through insurance and receiving meds via a pharmacy. The company exclusively focuses on weight management medications, particularly GLP-1 receptor agonists, which help shed pounds by reducing appetite. It offers two types of injectable medications: semaglutide and tirzepatide. Semaglutide is the compund found in sought-after medications like Ozempic and Wegovy, whereas tirzepatide is the generic name of the medication Zepbound. Brightmeds doesn’t offer brand-name semaglutide or tirzepatide, but instead, prescribes compounded versions of them. It has also introduced oral semaglutide. Compounded medication is more personalized but has the same active ingredient as brand-name medication. It’s typically prepared in small batches with varying dosages in licensed pharmacies at the request of a licensed healthcare provider. Brightmeds aims to make these weight loss medications affordable with compounded solutions.

ShedRx offers two types of medications: semaglutide and tirzepatide. It doesn’t offer name-brand medications Wegovy (semaglutide) and Zepbound (tirzepatide). Instead, it prescribes compounded versions of these medications, produced in small batches in licensed compounded pharmacies. Hims

Hims and Hers inc. is one of the largest telehealth services in the US. Hims Weight loss is their arm for weight loss for men. In 2023, the company started rolling out GLP-1 weight loss injections. In this review, we’ll be looking at this specific service. Hims started offering telehealth services accredited by the Better Business Bureau in 2018. They are known for fast service and customized packages for expedited weight loss. Offering a host of other weight loss options, Hims started offering GLP-1 agonist medications relatively late. They offer some of the big brand-name drugs, namely Wegovy and Ozempic. More uniquely, they offer a relatively inexpensive compounded Semaglutide for just $199 per month. Should any of these options be deemed unsafe or undesirable for or by any patient, there are other medication kits Hims can offer. These products have been offered for longer and have helped men lose weight through customized plans surrounding supplementation and other weight-loss drugs.
