Process
Here’s what the process of signing up for UrWay Health’s weight loss program looks like:
- Select your state: First of all, you select the state where you’re located. If UrWay Health operates with a license to ship GLP-1 medication to your state, you’ll be taken to the sign-up form. Otherwise, you’ll see a message that it doesn’t cover your state.
- Create an account: You’ll need to create an account with UrWay Health. You’ll provide your first name, last name, phone number, and email address. Create a password for the account. Additionally, the phone number has been verified, so please ensure you use an active one.
- Select the program and the product/subscription: Then you’ll be directed to select one of their services (in this case, weight loss) and the product/program you want.
- Select the plan: You can choose the monthly plan or go with a 12-week one (which is slightly cheaper).
- Fill the medical intake form: You’ll be asked questions about your current weight, goal weight, height, age, and more, including any medical conditions you may have. These questions help the evaluating doctor determine whether you qualify for the GLP-1 antagonist weight loss medication.
- Review by doctor: A licensed healthcare provider from your state will review the form and determine whether you qualify. If you do, you’ll be informed and can pay for the plan you selected.
- Medication dispatched: Upon approval, your prescription will be sent to your address within 24 to 48 hours, usually with overnight delivery. Shipments typically contain four weeks’ worth of injections along with supplies and instructions.

Treatment Effectiveness
The medications used in UrWay Health’s weight loss program have been tested in various studies and found to be effective. However, those studies used name-brand versions, which the FDA also tests for effectiveness and safety.
Keep in mind that compounded medications aren’t tested or approved by the FDA. Any effectiveness claims are based on external studies. Since compounded medications contain the same active ingredient as the medications used in the studies, it’s safe to deduce that they might have the same impact. However, results can vary depending on individual circumstances.
UrWay Health testimonials show that former patients have lost weight in double-digit pounds, with some losing as much as 90 pounds.

The testimonial is taken directly from our partners’ website. We make no warranties regarding the efficiency of the product. Results may vary per patient.
Additional Features
UrWay Health’s weight loss program includes ongoing clinical support from a licensed doctor. The subscription includes one consultation every four weeks to discuss progress and any concerns. Besides that, patients can also engage with their care team through the portal. The doctor may change the dose based on requirements/progress.
There’s no nutrition plan or one-on-one coaching either as part of the subscription or offered separately.
Ease of use
The UrWay Health website is user-friendly. And the sign-up process is fast. Patients can select the program they want themselves (although a doctor has the final say). The website provides plenty of information on each compounded medication to help patients choose the right one. That said, there’s not much distinction communicated between them, so people may have to research on their own to learn more.
The process is fairly simple, and the fact that your medication can be on its way to you in just a day makes things move along fast. Patients can get started within a couple of days.
Getting in touch with the doctor is also easy once you have an account and are subscribed.
Post-treatment Support
Like most other telehealth platforms with a monthly GLP-1 medication subscription, there’s no post-treatment support as such. You may be able to ask questions about post-treatment concerns during your ongoing medical consultations. However, as soon as the subscription ends, your access to the healthcare provider and care team also ends.
Safety
Compounded medications, like their brand-name counterparts, may have some side effects. Common side effects of GLP-1 medications like semaglutide and tirzepatide include nausea, abdominal pain, belching, vomiting, constipation, bloating, or diarrhea.
Although not directly tested, compounded medications supplied by UrWay Health contain the same active compounds as their brand-name counterparts, which have been rigorously tested for safety.
And as for your data safety, UrWay Health is HIPAA-compliant. Your data won’t be shared with third parties.
Thank you!
