Getting started begins with an online assessment covering health history and weight-loss goals. A licensed U.S. medical provider then reviews the intake to determine eligibility and recommends a medication and dosing schedule tailored to the individual patient. Once treatment begins, Lemonaid provides ongoing monitoring, with check-ins during dose increases and at regular intervals once a patient reaches a maintenance dose, and medication ships to the patient’s home.

Lemonaid’s site cites a 68-week clinical trial in which the treatment group receiving semaglutide had a mean body weight loss well above the placebo group, along with claimed reductions in cardiovascular events, blood pressure medication use, and certain kidney problems. This trial data is specific to the FDA-approved drug, not the compounded semaglutide/tirzepatide Lemonaid also dispenses, so we haven’t repeated the specific figures here to avoid implying the compounded product delivers the same clinical results.

Beyond GLP-1 medication, Lemonaid also offers Metformin as a weight-loss option. There’s no long-term commitment required, and no additional fee for dosage changes within the same medication.

The entire process runs online: an intake assessment, a provider review, and home delivery. We didn’t find any mention of a required live video visit on Lemonaid’s weight-loss page. The program is not yet available in all 50 states, per that page’s own language.

Lemonaid’s site also states that compounded products it dispenses are not approved or verified by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality.
